Sara Sutton is the Agriculture Department Chair, Perkins Co-Coordinator, and faculty member at Fort Scott Community College. A proud graduate of Fort Scott Community College, she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Kansas State University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Pittsburg State University, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education through Baker University.With 17 years of experience in education, Sara began her career teaching at the high school level before transitioning to higher education nine years ago. Her work focuses on strengthening career and technical education through effective advisory board development, Perkins alignment, curriculum design, and innovative program development. She has extensive experience building partnerships between secondary schools, postsecondary institutions, and business and industry to create meaningful workforce pathways for students.Sara is passionate about advancing high-quality CTE programs that are student-centered, workforce-aligned, and built through strong collaboration across educational systems.
